Specialist Up-Skilling Programme (SUP)
The SUP is a one year training programme aimed at supporting those that already have experience of working in the lead industry to attain a Level 2 qualification.
It includes up to 13 days training through a combination of formal instruction at the LSA training centre with on site training with an employer where the final assessment and knowledge of the participant will be carried out.
The SUP is a great way to improve your skills and is designed to provide flexibility through the onsite training elements to suit any employer’s business needs.
The SUP is a one year training scheme to up-skill existing staff working in the Leadwork industry to Level 2. It is an accredited industry programme and is delivered through a mixture of formal instruction off site and supervised “on-the-job” training with an employer, followed by a final end assessment.
Who should attend
Learners who already have knowledge of leadwork.
Learners having a contract of employment with an appropriate English registered company.
Learners who have reached the age of 18 prior to the registration date of the scheme.
Learners who are resident in England.
Learners not already possessing a QCF Level 2 or equivalent or a higher-level qualification.
Trainees will gain experience through off the job training sessions in every aspect of the industry.
Flexibility through the on site training elements to suit the employer’s core business requirements.
Understand the hazards and safe working practises within this specialised industry.
Learn to form and install flashings, gutters, cornice, parapet, flat and pitched roofing, dormers and vertical cladding.
Delivery of an QCF Level 2 over a 1-year period.
Gain a City & Guilds 6055 Leadwork certificate.
CSCS recognition (on successful completion of a health and safety test).

Safety Boots, overalls or warehouse coat are all you need as the tools, materials, and lead sheet required for the course are included in the price.
