On-Site Assessment Training (OSAT) QCF Level 2/3
OSATs are an excellent way for experienced leadworkers who have built up skills over a number of years to gain a roofing qualification.
Typically the process takes up to two visits over a period of less than six months. It takes into account existing skills that you or your employees may already have to that training takes place in the areas that need development.
As it is site based it reduces the time away from the workplace.
To provide the necessary on-site assessment and training required to achieve a nationally recognised QCF Level 2/3 Roofing (Lead and Hard Metals).
Who should attend?
Those more experienced leadworkers wishing to gain the Roofing QCF Level 2/3 (Lead and Hard Metals), but who are unable to attend formal training courses away from site on a regular basis.
The process is carried out on site, which reduces time away from the workplace and thereby providing an economic and practical route to achieving a formal qualification.
The training can be delivered in geographic areas where there are critical skill gaps in the sector
It entails up to 3 site visits by a qualified assessor who will identify areas of weakness and recommend options for further development
It provides a route to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
It enables the successful candidate to apply for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) recognition (on successful completion of a health and safety test).
